Trenton has a story to tell

September 17, 2010

It’s a funny thing about giving tours of Trenton…it is almost impossible to stick purely to one theme.

Those who take my Stephanie Plum’s Trenton tour get a whole lot of information on the sites that influenced the popular novels, but they also get a dash of Trenton’s history and smidgen of its industrial heritage thrown in.

If you take the Battles of Trenton walking tour, you’ll also hear a little about Trenton’s industrial past via the Delaware and Raritan Canal.

The fact is, Trenton’s role in the American and Industrial Revolutions are somewhat intertwined and that history shaped the Trenton of today and the one imagined by Janet Evanovich in her Stephanie Plum books.

Taking the above into account it is no surprise that all the above elements can be brought together in an entertaining story of Trenton, past and present.  Authors John P. Calu and David A. Hart have done just that with TRENTON, A Novel.  Due for release in October from Plexus Publishing, TRENTON combines elements of history and current events into an exciting adventure that keeps the reader engaged all the way from before the war for independence through modern times.

Put this book on your reading list.  Then come out and take a tour.
